OUR EXPERIENCE

Fairweather Legal focuses predominantly on all aspects of the building and construction industry.

Fairweather Legal typically represents parties in all Courts, the VCAT and before building statutory boards.

Fairweather Legal has been responsible recently for the Court of Appeal’s greater clarification of the National Construction Code which has gained national interest and application.

Fairweather Legal is a practice that is small and thus, able to provide dedicated and specialized services to a select few clients who value:

  • an experienced lawyer actually working on their matters (as opposed to merely delegating to those with less experience);

  • a highly responsive relationship; and

  • a cost-efficient service due to its efficient size.

Extensive knowledge of the Victorian Civil & Administrative Tribunal’s procedures as well as proceedings in both the Building Practitioners Board and Building Appeals Board. Cases have included multimillion-dollar disputes in connection with major residential developments. Conducted multimillion-dollar building proceedings in the Supreme Court. Represented clients such as Rolls-Royce Australia Ltd and CAE in commercial arbitrations. Has advised clients in dispute resolution for some of Victoria’s largest projects with extensive experience in drafting building contracts and dispute resolution.
